As a first-time homeowner, I was initially apprehensive about making modifications to the windows and doors. However, following the recommendations of my neighbors, I decided to contact this company, and I am thrilled with the results. From the very beginning, the experience was outstanding. I was promptly contacted by an engineer who was not only knowledgeable but also bilingual, which was a great relief for both me and my wife. Armored Impact windows and Doors cancel the agreement Due to my request to amend final payment conditions and other simple things . My request: [Final payment to be release only after all service is fully completed and punch list completed to the satisfaction on both sides]. Also I would want to receive the [Novice To Owner before payment]. Stucco to be applied to fill the exterior gaps between existing stucco/concrete and the new window frame. After stucco is applied and dry silicon or caulk should be applied to seal the edges around the windows. I don’t want gaps to be filled just with caulk. I guess they couldn’t fully commit to a satisfactory and fully complete job before getting last payment. Read their entire agreement and make amends to it before going any further is the best thing.

**Beware of Armored Impact Windows and Doors** Hiring Armored Impact Windows and Doors has been the biggest mistake I've made as a homeowner. In April 2022, I contracted them for impact windows and doors, including a wall of sliding glass doors that go floor to ceiling, but what followed was a nightmare of delays, lack of communication, mismeasured installations, unskilled workers, and damage to my home. Despite thorough vetting, they have proved to be deceitful and incompetent. The Operations Manager, Matt, ignored my calls and emails, then dismissed my concerns by accusing me of “disrespecting their expertise.” From the start, Armored Impact Windows and Doors fed me empty promises. They assured me that all work would be completed by mid-July 2022 at the latest. Instead, the installation didn’t even begin until the end of August 2022. The workers, who barely spoke English and were clearly unskilled, left sloppy caulking on walls and windows, used 4x4s to fill mismeasured spaces, and left ledges designed to terminate at a wall unsupported. After retaining an attorney, a forensic inspection revealed that the issues extended beyond cosmetic flaws. The incomplete installation included clear code violations, structural issues, and water damage, which led to mold growth. Additionally, as large gaps were left around doors and windows, critters (geckos), have been freely able to come and go at their leisure. Under Florida law, a 558 notice must be filed. They ignored it. Armored Impact Windows and Doors have ignored every request for their insurance information and ignored five different requests for mediation, leaving me no choice but to file a lawsuit. The company has employed every legal tactic to delay and drain resources. Opposing counsel even stated, “We are going to financially destroy your client.” My home is still not put back together (present day July 2024), and their latest stunt is requesting a hearing to now add the third-party company to which they subcontracted the job. Keep in mind, their website claims they do not subcontract. Additionally, we were told the job would be handled by their in-house employees who have extensive experience. Matt even told us we had their “A Team.” I have spent significant money on legal fees, and my home remains damaged and incomplete. Over the past nearly two years, I have been embroiled in a frustrating legal battle as they have leveraged every tactic to financially exhaust me. Thus far, legal fees have exceeded $50k, with no end in sight. During discovery, it was uncovered that Matt, the Operations Manager, wrote an email to the Permit Offices, fabricating a narrative to cover up their own failings. Additionally, Matt blatantly lied, attempting to implicate my father as doing unpermitted work. Matt took images of my father, who, at the workers’ request, was helping to widen a door opening to accommodate a doorway sidelight that was part of the original order. The workers drew the lines and asked my father to use his tools to make the appropriate cuts, as it appeared they did not have the appropriate tools. Additionally, during legal discovery, it was discovered that my job was subcontracted to a third-party company that does not hold GC licensing. I was initially reassured by Armored Impact Windows and Doors that all installers were in-house employees with years of expert experience and that the owner of the company, Leo Rivas, who is a GC, would personally oversee the project. My home is still not put back together, and I continue to fight an uphill battle. This ordeal has cost me not only money but also peace of mind and trust in the construction industry. Armored Impact Windows and Doors have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to deliver quality work or to honor their commitments. Save yourself the nightmare and avoid this company at all costs.

Two words: STAY AWAY. There are a huge number of reputable window installers out there, and I thought I had done my fair share of research. I ended up going with Armored Impact because the sales associate was someone known to a colleague, and that made me feel more comfortable with my decision. I’ll give two stars for the timely installation and delivery of my windows. But that’s where the nightmare began. I had my windows installed in Jan of 2023. After install (Oct of 2023) one of the windows began to leak a large amount of water into my bedroom from beneath the window from a sprinkler hitting the window. They claimed it was due to the repeated exposure to treated water that caused the leak…. Which is kind of insane considering it’s supposed to hold up to hurricane force weather conditions. Regardless, their sales contract says they will repair at THEIR COST any damage caused by faulty installation within a year. I even had a third party come to my home to remediate the MOLD that grew from the water intrusion, and that company confirmed the water was entering from the window because Armored Impact was adamant the window was not installed incorrectly. It was a BATTLE to get Armored Impact to honor their contractual obligation to warranty installation. It took months of badgering and constant phone calls and texts to have the window repaired. And wouldn’t you know, once the window was fully removed and reinstalled it has not leaked at all since, further proving the window was poorly installed the first time. As of today (June of 2024), they have still not completed the repair job. I have no windowsill, and large areas of exposed drywall in my home that will cost me around $2000 to have repaired. It took MONTHS for them to replace my carpet, and they basically went not contact after that was completed. I have repeatedly tried to call both the point of contact from the company that was handling the repairs as well as their sales department, leaving messages etc etc. I got through one day after calling their sales number, the person promised me they’d call back and never did. Now, they see my number on caller ID and ignore it. Now, I will be forced to take legal action due to this breach of contract. The windows were a huge expense that has continued to spiral out because this company failed to fix their mistake, and are choosing to ignore it rather than do the right thing. I regret selecting this company to do my windows, and I urge you to look elsewhere. As other reviews have mentioned, their customer service is horrible and if you end up with an issue like I did, expect to be ignored and left to deal with the issue on your own, despite their contractual obligations to repair property damaged as a result of poor installation. I don’t normally write reviews, but I hope this helps deter others from falling victim to a similar situation with Armored Impact and look elsewhere for their windows.

Honestly pretty disappointed in the level of customer service with management. Ordered bronze doors and when installed the hardware provided was brushed nickel which I brought up to the management team. I was told that’s what was on the contract which I said was fine no big deal just replace with matching hardware and I’ll pay for it and I was told to goto Lowe’s and do it myself. I argued that was pretty poor customer service on their part and was simply told “we don’t get into that”. I said get into what change order on a construction project or customer service and was essentially told yes. Quality of the products provided were pretty good I’d consider them commercial storefront rather than high end residential product as I was sold. But end of the day I’d never work with them again as they would rather throw a contract in your face and the sales guy and project manager hides behind the accounting department rather than do what’s right for a customer when there was clearly a mistake on whomever specked out the doors and I simply didn’t read every detail on a contract. And they were a month late on delivery. And the hardware didn’t fit the factory openings either.

Armored Impact Windows was so amazing to work with. They did such a beautiful job, were honest, respectful, professional throughout the entire process. I couldnt be happier with the work they did. Everyone on the project was incredible and I would like to give a big thank you to the project manager Marcos who was just a complete pleasure to work with. He was calm and understanding, trusting and helpful. He is a very good person through and through. I highly recommend using this company and cant imagine going to anyone else.
