If you're here for the history cool but honestly I'm surprised reviews don't mention a thing about accessibility. DISABLED FOLKS BEWARE, there is little to no accessibility features available. There's a lift that has to be accessed manually with a key by an employee but they're of course busy attending to everyone else. We arrived 15 minutes early, they said someone was coming for us and 15 minutes later my wife had to face that if she wanted to watch the movie we came here for they'd have to go up the stairs by themselves because nobody was coming even after asking a second time for assistance (no shade to the employees, they were very nice just extremely busy). Hard to enjoy a movie when your bones are on fire and you get upstairs to find very cramped seating and no AC (like very cramped, knees against the seat in front of us kind of cramped). Ended up being completely unenjoyable for my beloved and I suspect the same of their other disabled patrons. Also the parking is a nightmare as per usual in Dallas, just figured I'd note it.

Historic location, friendly staff, fun experiences...

This theater is an incredible piece of history. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested here after the assassination of JFK. The theater dates back to 1931 and offers showings of classic, indie, and cult films on 35mm. There is a candy counter and a bar, with beer on draft and great cocktails. Most seats have cup holders with plenty of space between rows. Every seat has a good view of the screen. The theater has great monthly events such as Cinewilde and Tuesday Night Trash and screenings of classic silent films with live scores by local musicians. Great social atmosphere and decent ticket prices. Parking can be tough, and it's a bit sketchy at night. Excellent place to see nostalgic and rare films in Dallas.

Hermoso cine, vintage y super bonito todo. El ambiente es vintage, old Hollywood. Está todo muy bien cuidado y limpio. El popcorn 🍿 tmb muy rico. Tienen una barra de alcohol completa. Un lugar histórico que vale la pena visitar.

Attended screening of 'Wildcat' with Q&A of Ethan Hawke afterwards (he directed daughter, Maya ). The venue was great (nostalgic vibe) but parking is atrocious...so get there early!

Great coworking space

If you want a fantastic, retro movie experience in Dallas, look no further. There are so many great events happening here, plus classic films rotating constantly. 10/10

Not a bad seat in the place!

Great little movie theatre. I’m waiting to catch a show in the main room but the theatre upstairs is nice. Historic place so the seats are not the most comfortable or spacious. The theatre makes up for that with good prices drinks, historic charm, and just general personality.
