This place has fallen apart. The top director (bald Michael) has ran off all the people that once made it great. Overworked therapists, techs being disrespected by management and the sweetest nurses you could ever want are disrespected daily by individuals who have no regard for anything but bottom line profit. I went here a year ago and it was perfect but that experience no longer exists. Disregard any positive feedback from the past and find a different place for your recovery journey.
My experience at Arbor Wellness was great !
When I first got there they didn't know what to do with me because I didn't want meds.It was because before I got there I had so many side effects from meds for sleep and anxiety . I was scared. But within 2 weeks, I adjusted better and then before you know it the 28 days was up . The medication Arbor Wellness gave me keeps me balanced . I am not as emotional as I was before I got there. My anxiety is normal now. I sleep 7-8 hours a night . I bought an Oura ring to monitor my sleep . I owe a big thanks to the nurses , techs, therapists and my case manager for getting me back on track . I am thriving now and enjoying my life!đ

Horrible experience-after 12 days insurance stopped paying & they put my loved one on the street. theyre suppose to line up after care but the two places they tried would not take him due to his medications. stuck him in waiting room, I was 3 hours away and no way to get there to get him bc I at work. Not only that he is healing from cancer surgery and has catheter bag. would not let him back in to drain the bag. If go out front door couldnt get back in-trapped in lobby no bathroom. Unbelievable. Please do not send your loved one here.
I never wanted to get help. the admissions team here helped bring me back to life and get me the help I needed.

Thank you for your kind words about our team and for sharing your feedback on the group schedule. We appreciate your input as we continue to refine our programs and improve the experience for everyone.
I am guessing this place is a scam. I have applied through their website and now get random text out of the blue that I do respond to and then do not get a response back. Same with voicemails. I just called the number on the website and asked help trying to see if my insurance would be accepted and she said "yes I can help you with that" and then hung up. Very irritating when you are just trying to seek help.
I was in arbor from late May to late June. My experience here was okay. My biggest grievance is that I was under the impression the whole time and well after my visit that I was in network and nobody at any point ever told me I was out of network. I had to call my insurance when I got my bill to figure out why it was $9,000 when they were supposedly in network. They need to be upfront about billing and coverage because I would not have gone here had I known it was out of network because of the cost.
The therapists are pretty good and the provider actually listens to you and you have a say in your treatment. Groups are every day from 9am to 4:30 pm and meals are provided. You are expected to stay minimum 30 days or longer if your discharge date would fall on a weekend because they donât discharge on weekends. They have regular smoke breaks and some nice amenities and it did help stabilize me. You can make phone calls twice a week for 15 minutes each time. That time is scheduled. You get to have an individual therapy session once weekly and they do family sessions too once weekly.
Culture of Work Environment
The primary concern stems from operational inefficiencies and leadership shortcomings within the Leadership department, which fosters a negative and unproductive work environment. The newly promoted administrative staff lacks experience and exhibits unprofessional conduct, including a preference for impersonal communication and condescending interactions with senior staff, eroding trust and hindering teamwork. This situation is further compounded by HR's inability to address these fundamental issues effectively. The substandard training provided to nursing staff raises serious concerns regarding client safety and care quality. The organizational culture appears to be characterized by favoritism, rewarding those who accept unsustainable workloads and silencing dissenting voices. This creates a climate of fear, discouraging constructive feedback and inhibiting necessary organizational improvements. The lack of responsiveness from Human Resources to employee concerns exacerbates this sense of vulnerability. The cumulative effect of these challenges is a pervasive sense of instability and insecurity among employees. The lack of management support, inadequate training, and excessive workloads are leading to significant work-life imbalance and impacting overall employee well-being. It is disappointing that the company fails to address these issues, despite its potential to excel in supporting its staff.
Advice to Management:
Take a close look at your staff and the individuals you recruit to represent administration and reflect the company's existing culture. A college degree is advantageous, but leadership skills, mannerisms, and respect are traits that cannot be taught.

Workplace culture
The prevailing culture of poor leadership, inadequate communication, and favoritism, coupled with the Director of Operations' & Administration as a whole ineffective management, cultivates a toxic work environment. Inadequate training, deteriorating morale, and a fear-ridden atmosphere, exacerbated by HR's lack of responsiveness, imperil employee well-being, client service, and operational stability. Immediate intervention and systemic reforms are crucial to resolve these critical issues and revive a healthy, productive work environment.

TLDR: If youâre serious about mental health recovery in a crisis, I wouldnât go here. If you want a higher-end mental relaxation resort to refocus, I think youâll be happy.
Initially my family and I called Arbor wellness on the 21st of April and it took them a few days for an initial call back. After speaking to whom I believe was named either Tom or Paul, we scheduled to tour the facility the following week. We spoke for quite a while with him, explaining our situation and trying to figure out if it was the right fit so we could avoid spending more wasted time and effort during a crisis. We were assured that the person we spoke with (Tom/Paul) would meet us for the tour on the 30th so everything could be coordinated. When we arrived, we were told he was in the other office building and would not be joining us. So we got a tour from someone else and she was nice enough. We had to go through all the criteria of our complex situation once again and got very different answers. We kept requesting to speak with who was initially supposed to come join us for the admission, but they never did that. I believe it was lunch break or his day off. We offered to spend the week paying out of pocket simply so they could focus enough on us personally and transfer us to the right facility, but that didnât seem to be an option (maybe itâs considered a statistical failure if they do so or some type of fraud). At one point someone knocked during our closed door admission appointment and the female facilitator, who clearly had been given a very dropped ball and didnât have the expertise to help, opened the door and asked if it was important because âshe was with a potential clientâ. Iâll never forget those words, not a patient, a client. I found those words so chilling that they are still cemented in my memory. They said they would provide information on other facilities and reach out with resources. They never did of course. I know itâs a newer facility that is finding its legs, and maybe theyâll get their act together. But our experience showed us that there does not seem to be follow up care or individual interest; it felt more like a where rich people go to relax and pretend they work on themselves.
If you are in need of lasting MH help, there are better options out there. Donât be misguided by the visual aesthetics. Itâs a facade. There are far better options available with a better alignment of client agency and continuum of care. Every client should have a voice in all steps across all levels of their care, and there are companies that follow that philosophy and practice. This company falls short in that regard, and I know this company well. Just do your homework and get the help you deserve. I hope this helps.
