This church is disgusting. Their messages are only feel good messages that don't help you grow your faith, but rather just a tickle in your ear at most. At youth, after having no Bible teaching or even opening our Bible's for six months we were given a message on tongues. However, the message was just the youth pastor's opinion on tongues with a few cherry picked verses. 6-7 adults who the students don't know were brought in to speak in tongues. We felt very forced to speak tongues and as if we were not good enough Christians because we couldn't. A random lady I don't know told me she got a vision from God that I have swirling darkness of clouds around me and above me, she also told me I'm not doing God's will. This lady then later confessed to someone that her "prophecy" was wrong and that her vision wasn't from God... Yet I still haven't gotten an apology even though I called her out saying her "prophecy" wasn't from God. I expressed my concerns from that night and other concerns in an email to the youth pastor. Instead of responding and working out these concerns I had, the head pastor's told him not to respond to me. The way this church handles concerns and disagreement is scary and they play the victim, telling your friends you're not in your right mind. Be very weary of this church.
If you just want a feel good church then this church is for you, I grew my faith with this church. and ive never felt so close to jesus cause of how ive been treated at this church, ive felt judged, and worst of all. i went to a youth group and we havent had a message since before summer. at that point i was just going to hang out with my friends until i heard there was gonna be a message from our youth pastor. it wss about tounges. in my opinion we shouldnt be learning about tounges until we get to learn prayer and the actual bible. a girl came and prayed for me and started to rebuke demons out of me and claimed i was “depressed, that i had anxiety and that i have trouble sleeping.” she satrted rebuking demons out of me. if you want a church that gets in little to no bible this is for you.
Best church ever! Super focused on being kind and loving like Jesus Is. Some of my best friends go there. This is a really awesome and encouraging church. It's super welcoming. I feel right at home here. If you're thinking of going to this church, you are a very smart person. I've got to say, all the people here really trust Jesus, and when they don't feel like they do, they go to others for help trusting him more. God is moving in this church, and I'm proud to be a part of it. If you want to dive deep into what God has for you, come here. I literally can't see my life without this church.
When we first found Antioch, we were welcomed with open arms and quickly discovered such an amazing, genuine community. The pastors are refreshingly open and real, and their heart for people shows in every interaction. Pastor Chris brings the Bible to life with teachings that are both relevant and deeply rooted in Scripture, often weaving in personal stories and humor that make the messages relatable and memorable.
The worship here is such a blessing, it’s not about smoke, lights, or a performance, but real, raw, Jesus-focused praise. Every time we worship alongside other hungry believers, our hearts are lifted and encouraged in such a powerful way.
This church has been such a gift to our family, not only through the Bible-based teaching but also through the incredible people who make up this community. It’s truly one of the most genuine and kind groups of people we’ve ever experienced in a church. We are so grateful to call Antioch home!
I was deeply involved with this church for years straight out of college, and ever since I left this church, I’ve experienced greater peace, joy, freedom, and real intimate friendships. I’m not saying you can’t find God here, but it’s the *least* safe environment I’ve experienced God in, given the amount of manipulation, double-standards, and contradiction between words and actions from leaders here. I’m thankful to have gotten out of this “community” and hope prospective church goers are cautious with their faith and feelings upon trying this one.
Sorry to say but this is a cult.
They use suspect tactics to recruit and dangle opportunities of being a part of leadership to keep people hooked. I currently have two friends locked in here and it's disturbing. I myself was targeted for recruitment, unfortunately at the time I was in a bad situation and was at an event getting social services and that's where I was preyed upon. I was happy to meet friendly people and be taken to fun events but it became very clear that this was a love bomb and I was able to avoid further contact after a few months. I understand people feel excited to evangelize but here's the thing, I've had several friends targeted and the problem is IMO is they will say anything to get you interested, find out your interests and even mirror some of your behavior and dress. it's not a safe place. good luck to those that have found a home there. I hope for consistent and loving experience especially when and if they decide to leave.
A relaxed family of Human Beings enjoying being spirited human beings. The Spirit of Christ Jesus flows comfortably here. The Baptist of Plano, Texas has found a home in Northern Colorado and it is true and freeing to visit a gathering of worship, without the angst or pretensions of my own youth. People of all ages have a companion here. I come from the same town, the same Church as Pastor, and I support the message I receive as a guest of their hard work. Clean, inviting and involved. You may find your salvation here, your next friend, a Bible or maybe even a meal. I have not asked a definition of Antioch. My witness testimony is to say; The Spirit of Christ, Southern Baptism Strong practiced with zero charades. Music, Song, hugs, hand shakes, coffee, and Love; for families and singles, all all those in between. The boundaries and divisions are as simple and clear as song birds in the spring. Enjoy yourselves, there is something special happening here.
If you are looking for a 'feel good' service, with NO Scripture or mention of Salvation, Christ, the Gospel, Sin, Evil, Redemption, Hell, Heaven, etc this IS the Church for you. Again, if you want to feel 'Churchy' and basically hear what you want to hear, Antioch is the place. Frankly, I have NEVER heard such watered-down Christianity in my life. Be prepared for props instead of the Bible, a film so hokie that you may get ill, and music that is basically hit or miss. I miss God's Word in public, instead of TED Talks on hobbies and family. I went on one Father's Day, and instead of hearing about God the Father and His begotten Son, some associate pastor spoke about lions in Africa.
I went to this church for a few years and left a few years ago. Sad to say this church is mostly a feel good church, they don't often quote scripture and when they do it is mostly on speaking in tongues and your feelings twords God versus facts in faith. It is been a long recovery since leaving this church, and I still find myself struggling with trusting what the leaders have to say at my new Bible based church. I pray that you prayerfully consider whether or not this is the right "church"
3 years ago I moved from Nebraska to Fort Collins to join the Antioch movement specifically. I’ve been to a lot of churches my whole life but they don’t compare to what Antioch brings and has! The foundation of the Church is built on a Passion for Jesus and His purposes in the earth! Antioch truly lives the Bible and has been a family for me. Each year this church has helped me heal from past woundings/ brokenness as well as strengthen my relationship with God! If your looking for a church in the Fort Collins area.. this is it!!
It has been so refreshing attending a church that is consistently pushing me deeper into relationship with God and is constantly encouraging me to spend time with God by spending time in prayer and the word. It keeps me accountable and I’m finding my walk with God gets better and better the more time I spend reading the Bible. The community here is so kind and inviting. Thank you Antioch for getting me back on track! I started attending Antioch almost 3 years ago when I was stumbling my way back to Jesus and the community here helped encourage me to fight for a better life of seeking God and chasing after Him, God is so good!
