Natalia has been the most amazing to work with during the moving process. When I called and told her I planned to move in less than 2 weeks, she hit the ground running! She always had the most amazing attitude and spirit about her that made it feel like my friend was finding me an apartment. She was accommodating since I had to do everything virtually. Moving to a different state in 2 weeks time would normally make anyone feel insane, but Natalia took that stress right off my shoulders and thank you will never be enough. Every company has a true gem and asset...it's Natalia. 1000/10 gold stars for how amazing she is.

First, I want to start by saying I'm so grateful for the kindness and help from the office. Natalia and Troy, the manager Heather Have been so helpful and are always there to offer a helping hand. I've lived here for 8 years and I love the community, I get to walk to Birkdale everyday and enjoy the great walking trail by my house. Look forward to living here for many more years!

DO NOT under any circumstances, move into this apartment complex. I get it, you read the reviews and you think to yourself "Nah, that's just a one-off. It won't be my experience." Trust me. It will be. I've lived in apartments in FL, TX, VA, & NC for over 20 years of varying "luxuries," some having more issues than others but this place is an absolute health hazard. It's a class action lawsuit waiting to happen, just need the residents to band together which might be happening anyway. Go look on Yelp for the real reviews and don't let these fool you. First, these clowns tried to pull one over on me when I moved in, claiming I needed to pay the max deposit when I haven't paid a security deposit of any kind in years. They tried to tell me I was cornered and out of luck, despite my lease agreement not even being legally bound (no security deposit listed and wasn't fully executed), then quickly changed their tune. Then once moved in, issue after issue with appliances in the unit that took literally MONTHS to resolve. Dryer completely broken. Knob sheered off the stove. Can't possibly just swap the appliance from one of the dozens of vacant units on the property that sit for half a year, that's too smart. Instead they send their half-wit maintenance crew to make repairs and order parts that don't last and never come in. Did I mention they are on their fourth or fifth manager in 6 months? Alarm bells yet? Now I'm dealing with toxic mold in my master bathroom to the point I've had to move out of it and seal it shut. I've been sick ever since I've moved in with a persistent dry cough, runny nose, upset stomach, seen two doctors, am waiting on results from a urine test, and consulting an attorney. You can view the results from the air test I conducted attached. Mind you, I'm immune compromised as I have Multiple Sclerosis and am on immune suppressing drugs making this an extremely dangerous situation for me, hence the reason for consulting an attorney. The complex could care less. They sent someone out to look and I've emailed them for two days now to follow up about them sending someone out to conduct their own test with zero response. They won't send anyone out because this is par for the course. They drag these things out for weeks and months. They know about the mold issue and continue to lease these units out, evidenced by the reviews online and the units that sit empty for months if not years. A unit downstairs from me has been empty for more than six months. There's no other reason for that except a structural/environmental issue. If this ends up going to court, it will end up costing them royally in discovery because they can't hide it. A neighbor in another building found mold in her A/C closet and they came by and sprayed bleach instead of actually fixing the problem. There is a reason this place has a ton of vacant units. The location might be incredible but it's not worth dealing with the unsafe living conditions and the absolutely incompetent staff in the office.

I moved into the Alcove at Birkdale Village in August and I have had a wonderful experience. I first toured with Natalia- I moved here from out of state and she immediately made me feel welcome and that the community here had all I was looking for! She was very enthusiastic about all that the Alcove has to offer, and I had a great experience in making my decision to move in here. She and the staff have been receptive to all of my requests. The property is well maintained, and I love the convenience to Birkdale Village. It is very pedestrian friendly, which is a huge plus as a dog owner with a very energetic pup that enjoys walking ! The greenways are so accessible- the McDowell Greenway is easy to find through the neighborhood and connects through the Cornelius town and beyond! Again, Natalia was very efficient in helping me get situated- I so appreciate all of the communication I needed as a new resident!

I was willing to overlook the outdated appliances and unpleasant smell at move-in. But after dealing with cockroaches, heating issues, a garage full of the previous tenant’s junk, and having my cleaning deposit withheld despite leaving the apartment in better condition than I found it, I cannot recommend this place. Management is a revolving door, the gym was never maintained (dead roaches sat there for months), and overall upkeep is consistently poor. I’ve lived in less desirable neighborhoods with far better management. Calling this place “luxury” is misleading at best—borderline false advertising.

I can't say enough positive things about these apartments, the office staff and maintenance crew. In particular, Ryleigh and Karini are truly outstanding. I literally cannot remember an apartment office staff that has been so exceptional - and I've had a lot of experience with apartment office staff. They are extremely responsive, always making the fulfillment of my requests a priority. It is rare when my requests are not handled within 24 hours. And when that cannot be done, they tell you the reason. The apartments and facilities are great, too. Really terrific job by Ryleigh, the office manager. It's an absolute pleasure to live here.

We’ve lived here for about 2 years now. This is the 3rd set of management that we have seen since we got here, however this group seems to be different. While they aren’t strong in the terms quick execution, they still get done what they said they were going to get done. Also shoutout to the main tech Tay! They have been replacing all my appliances with new ones and Tay has been super nice and helpful and even walked my dog while the appliance people came to do the install! I’ve been giving them a lot of grief about the AC being broken for so long in the Gym but I’m willing to overlook that as it seems more good is coming to this place now instead of bad.
