I recently had a FUE procedure at Ailesbury Hair Loss Clinic in Dublin to address my receding temple areas. The entire experience was exceptional, earning them a well-deserved 5 stars. The surgeon, a lovely lady, made me feel at ease throughout the 4-hour procedure. A light lunch was provided during the extraction of donor hairs, and clear post-procedure instructions were given. Special mention to Effie, who was brilliant and always available for any queries, making the whole experience enjoyable. Nervous initially, but the Ailesbury team made it an excellent and recommendable journey!

From first contacting the clinic and talking with Effie, to my consultation with Joe and finally my procedure day with Dr Georgia and the team, my experience with the clinic has been amazing, nothing was a problem to them and I felt assured that I had made the right decision to get my hair transplant done with the Ailesbury clinic in Dublin, I’m now 12 months post op and I'm so happy with the result. I underwent a hair implant procedure at Ailesbury Hair Loss Clinic in Dublin. My dissatisfaction and the reason for my low rating stem from the initial consultation to the day of the procedure. Initially, a consultant named Joe took photographs of my head, intending to show these to the surgeon to identify a suitable donation area for the hair transplant. My appointment was scheduled for a weekend, and I arrived with my hair completely shaved, following instructions provided in an email from the clinic. Upon meeting the doctor, it became clear that Joe had not forwarded my photographs to the doctor, who was then unable to determine the correct donation area. The doctor explained the importance of harvesting hair from the correct area, as failing to do so could result in the transplanted hair falling out later. Unfortunately, Joe was unreachable on the day of my procedure. Having already paid the full cost of the procedure the day before, I felt compelled to proceed. After the procedure, when I discussed this issue with Joe, not only did he refuse to acknowledge his oversight, but he also advised me to use minoxidil to avoid losing hair and suggested it was my mistake for shaving my head before the surgery, despite this being a requirement as per their instructions. This oversight on his part to send the necessary photographs to the surgeon has left me with concerns about the longevity of the transplanted hair. Considering the significant expense of the procedure, my expectations for a flawless process were not met.

Had an amazing experience at Ailesbury from my first consultation to every contact in preparation I felt confident I was in good hands, on the day of the procedure the nurse looking after me was super nice and enthusiastic and she made the whole experience better for me, I felt confident with how the procedure was going and had a nice lunch on the day too, I got given a gift bag with all my supplies and instructions it’s now been a week since the procedure, everything has gone well and the instructions have all been clear, I can’t wait to see the results :)

Had my transplant 2 days ago, it went extremely well. The surgeon and nurse were so detailed at explain how what where and when. I was rather nervous but they put me at ease straight away. The surgery itself is painless as the numbing agent is so throughout. The aftercare thus far has been excellent with the Dublin and Cork sites being in touch for follow-ups. The healing is painless. By far the best decision i have made and im so happy i did, if you are considering it just do it! Big thanks especially to Effie in the Dublin office for being so considerate and helpful getting ready beforehand.

I had my procedure carried out over a year ago and I'm delighted with the results. The clinic has a warm and welcoming feel to it. All the team at Ailesbury were brilliant to deal with. Effie and Joe answered any questions I had and couldn't have been any more helpful. Dr Kara put me at ease on the day of the procedure and calmed any nerves I had. The post op instructions were very easy to follow and there was a 24hr helpline for anything I needed to ask about. Thanks to everyone at Ailesbury

Today is my 7th day post-procedure since I had my hair transplant in Ailesbury Dublin. I had my 1st consultation with Joe back in June and another consultation with Joe in November. From the first initial meeting, he explained everything I needed to know and put me at ease from the get-go. But as months crept away due to work commitments, I thought I would go for another meeting to just bulletproof any concerns I had, and Joe met me with such professionalism and confidence once again. So, we decided on a date and everything went so smoothly leading up to the procedure, with solid communication on the phone and emailing back and forth with Effie who was fantastic. On the day of the procedure, I was feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement, way more nervous if I am honest though. A lovely lady called Kara met me in the morning and we had a lovely brief conversation about the surgery and about life in general! The surgeon Dr Georgina met me shortly afterwards and explained everything very clearly. Dr Georgina was professional but stern. I was still a bit nervous through surgery as it was a long process, but Kara made sure I was very comfortable and nothing was too much hassle which I so heartily appreciated. I couldn't fully relax or understand everything Dr Georgina was telling me regarding aftercare, as the information is quite overwhelming to process at the end of the day. Still, Dr Georgina and the staff provided yet again detailed instructions on carrying out aftercare and showed great diligence and passion for their work. The staff were more than kind and friendly and very easy to deal with providing a 24-hour aftercare service which is gold. It was such a blessing to have such a service at your fingertips. I am intensively following the aftercare instructions with thoroughly care and Joe and Effie are still checking in on me on regular basics which is so conforming and adds to a touch of class. I can't remember everyone's names, but I just want to let you know I highly appreciate and most sincerely thank you all at Ailesbury Hair Clinic for all your hard work, and kindness. Was initially quite nervous as I had never had a procedure like this before. But in all honesty my fears were totally unfounded. The staff and doctors were incredibly friendly, reassuring and professional both before, during and after the procedure. The procedure itself was very straight forward and the post surgery care was set out clearly and succinctly. Only had the procedure yesterday but so far so good and I’m due for my follow up appointment in 10 months. Would highly recommend.

Review edit, december 2023 : I returned last week for a density followup procedure. The initial procedure brought my hairline down to a very satisfactory level, but the amount of hairs that stuck around for me was a bit on the thin side. This was to be expected, as I was informed that it's possible not all transplanted hairs would equal 100% density coverage. This second procedure went as well as the first, and I am looking forward to the end result in a few months time! Review 1 - october 2022 My procedure was only last week, so I am still awaiting the results in a few months. But the process itself was great. Consultation was professional and answered all my questions, any further question was answered leading up to the surgery. The surgery itself took about 7 hours and was very professionally done. We even passed the time with a quiet musical playlist in the background, and chatted about the choice of songs, humming to ourselves when we recognized a good one. Instructions for how to take care of yourself in the time following the treatment are clear, all medications and instructions are listed and you get a contact number for questions any time you have any. Looking forward to the end results and the followup appointment in 10 months time!

I spent over a year researching different hair transplant clinics and even had a number of consultations with different clinics and I am so happy that I went with The Ailesbury HLCD. I was dealing with Effie before the consultation and she was amazing. She took the time to answer (the many) questions that I had and always gave me the information quickly. On the day of the procedure I was obviously a bit nervous but all the staff could not have been nicer! The thing that struck me was how kind they were at it really put me at ease. It was just a very nice atmosphere. Dr Georgina talked me through every step of the procedure and was so nice. After the procedure Nurse Kara was incredible. She took me though absolutely everything I needed to do and gave me really detailed instructions about next steps and medications. It really made everything so easy. I am still very early on in terms of results but in terms of service I couldn't be happier.
