We just bought our first home a few months ago, and unfortunately the terracotta tiles were leaking.
We had no less than 8 businesses quote us after inspecting the tiles (roofs are expensive...), and every one of them said it couldn't be repaired, and most said that no-one would try and repair it/restore it. They would only recommend re-roofing with a new colorbond roof, or painting it.
Anthony Gray gave us other options, including roof repair, which was significantly cheaper than replacement, but after lengthy discussions surrounding our preferences for new a/c (roof mounted), and solar panels, we did decide to re-roof in colorbond with Anthony's team.
We chose Anthony's team because they've been doing roofs a very long time, and I found a ten year warranty a bit scary if attached to a business that is very young. We chose them because their expertise is broad, in terracotta and other roofs like slate. They can provide options outside just a new colorbond roof. I chose them because I don't like to have to pay for sales people, or teams of admin staff, or subcontracted roofers. I'd like to just pay for a good roof.
We found Anthony and team to be open, friendly and respectful, communicating each step of the process thoroughly. They tidied up after themselves, emptied out the gutters of debris, and were an absolute pleasure to have around our home.
The roof looks great. It's just properly rained after a very long dry spell here in Adelaide and as expected there are no issues.
I find overly positive reviews very suspicious, but frankly struggle to bring up any negatives. I guess I should mention Anthony accidentally dropped his drill into my ceiling while removing the terracotta, but then had a professional plasterer repair it the same day, and then offered to sand and paint it at the end of the next business day.
I hope you take him up on his roofing services as I truly believe his family business deserves yours.
When my roof needed some repairs, I knew I didn't want it sprayed with some kind of plastic paint. I came across signage for A G Roofing and gave Anthony a call. He came to quote promptly, with no sales pressure and clear explanations of what he would do. Anthony could also put whirly-birds in the roof.
I'd had another quote, but didn't confident with the other business.
Anthony's quote came in well below the other guy, who usually painted roofs and wanted to include an unnecessary roof clean.
Anthony arranged for the work to be done quickly, and he and his team were reliable, punctual, professional and very pleasant to deal with. Absolutely happy with the whole experience, and would definitely recommend A G Roofing.
