It's been a long time since I was shafted. But ACE stepped up to the plate. I had an appt set up with them for this morning. They never called to explained or anything. They simply did not show up. I rearranged my work hours so they could come. So I missed out on 3 hours of work. if you run a reputable business, then its mandatory for you to at least contact customers with an explanation. Safe to say, I will not be using these guys..EVER.
It was $223 to change a mailbox lock. The guy on the phone could only tell me that it would be a $29 service call and the rest depended on the lock to remove and the new one. $119 to drill the lock out and $75 for a new one. My husband could have drilled it out and bought a lock at Home Depot for less than $15 but he wasn't home and I didn't know any better and paid it. In fact, a whole mail box with a lock like the one I have is $109 at Home Depot. Hindsight is 20/20 and I just wanted to get my mail! Impatience won. I thought this looked like a local company but it either isn't or they contract out because the reciept they gave me says "Locksmith Near Me" not the Ace Locksmith that I called. Also, 89 Five-Star reviews, all well-written, is really suspicious. I do not recommend this business.
