Pros:Great People to work around Cons:Company prides themselves to develop from the inside but doesn’t do that. and you have mangers(especially in the warehouse that only care from themselves and the job being done) that’s common in most places but when you’re told they won’t to develop from the ground up you expect some effort on their in to actually do that and not lie. Advice to Management:Stop creating a toxic enviorment and actually work on the insufficient practices created. Probably why your turnover rate is bad.
Clarifying the MisInformation on Here
Pros:— All team meetings are paid for. — Team sports or workouts every Friday. They’re not mandatory. — All staff must keep work stations, gym and bathrooms clean due to high standards and social media photos — Coworkers read a lot. Lots of books are assigned whether it’s education to move-up for promotions or within the department — There IS a board with production numbers which is motivating if you like to challenge yourself — Sal is an incredible CEO. It feels like he really cares about our personal lives AND our professional lives — EVERYONE is friendly. You’ve literally never seen happier people. — You get paid $16-$19/hr for writing cards. It’s ridiculously overpaid, contrary to popular opinion. Cons:— Entry level team coworkers still doing the bare minimum. Why work “here” if you’re not going to challenge yourself? Can be unmotivating. — I’ve had three Hispanic coworkers tell me “we need more hispanics here”, in Spanish too. I don’t like that kind of stuff. It’s unnecessary. Base your work experience over how hard you work, not what race you are. Advice to Management:I’m a little disappointed by the mediocrity on entry level. I’m not referring to “skill set”, just aspirations. They’re very much “show up and go home”
Real World Preparation
Pros:It’s not an easy place to work by any means but it’s how the real world is. Most of the people who work there are young and have no idea how hard and cutthroat the real world is. They all expect money to be handed out. Most companies give people penny raises every year where here you earn your raise. The ones complaining are ones who can’t earn their raise since they don’t learn to be better or get with the game plan. Cons:I do think we should encourage more holiday time off since we are working most holidays.
The absolute best customer service!! I have ran into a few issues with the shipment company's (****, *****, ***, etc) as one does and 1st Phorm never lets me down!! One occasion I had an overnight shipment that I paid extra for that did not arrive overnight. 1st Phorm refunded my account for the shipment cost and had the courteous to provide a $15 gift card. The most recent occasion was *** returning my package after 1 attempt. I have a new address and it displays differently everywhere I order from and is usually a challenge. *** returned my package to 1st Phorm on Monday and I called *** only to be redirected to 1st Phorm. I called 1 Phorm and in under 3 minutes, they verified it was being returned, created a new shipment, updated my address, and emailed a tracking number for the new package within minutes. Truly amazing!! I really hope 1st Phorm never stops with the *** quality, handwritten notes, and overall an amazing experience. Will. Never. Stop. Being. A. 1st Phorm. Customer. <3
Be aware of what you're going in to
Pros:Great place to improve your skill set, good environment if you like the gym, and a lot of enjoyable people to work with. Cons:How much time, effort, and care you put in with the company doesn't matter so much as one would be led to believe. Success in the company is all about who likes you. Skillset and knowledge of your role doesn't matter all that much because leadership will always know more about specific crafts they've never done than the people that devoted their lives to the craft. You won't receive help or a performance review unless you ask for it. You'll be told to spend more time at work than with your family if you want to be successful there and you will be asked to sacrifice your own personal brand on social media to promote the company if you want to move up. Raises are rare and they don't give Cost of Living Adjustments. Lastly, this place is cutthroat. People will throw you under the bus and fabricate their own stories to preserve their career and image so be careful. Advice to Management:Mainly get rid of the egos and don't be afraid to admit when you don't know something.
I have a laundry list of complaints about 1st Phorm and their dishonest business practices. The list is so long I'll actually be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau in addition to submitting this review. If you're reading this because you're not sure weather or not to purchase from 1st Phorm I cannot recommend enough to stay away and spend your money else where.1st Phorm is like many companies in the fitness space in that they prey on people's insecurities, make false promises, and then point the finger at you, the hardworking customer, for their own actions. The products themselves weather it be the 1st Phorm app, the supplements, or their clothing is decent but its nothing special. There's a gazillion fitness brands and most of them just sell products without making claims. 1st Phorm has made several claims about their products that are blatantly false. As a personal trainer, all you need is a quality protein powder and maybe creatine. Instead of being honest about this, 1st Phorm makes claims that you need all of their products to fit and healthy, which isn't true. The 1st Phorm app is horrific too. Everyone else seems to have pointed out how difficult the app is to use. The coaches in the app also are not very helpful. Everything they tell you is part of the group think mentality of 1st Phorm. Also, I didn't want to lose weight but my advisor didn't listen to that and I haven't logged into the app after using it for a year. They claim their goal as a business is to help people "get real and long term results" (it isn't). This is just a marketing tactic to get more customers. Let me ask you, if this was actually their goal and thought it was genuine, would I be spending my time writing a complaint? No I would not. Some of the other reviews here have discussed the false advertising of the Legionnaire program, which is an MLM designed to make you pay money to 1st Phorm every month. The features of the program were also taken away with no adjustment
Underpaid, overworked, and neglected. Great people though
Pros:You get to work around some amazing people, you get discounts on products and apparel, and access to top tier training facilities. Cons:You will never be paid what you’re worth, you will be asked to work well over 40 hours, you will not be compensated appropriately for that either. Performance means infinitely less than who you know. They try to hammer how great the “culture” and “opportunity” is as an excuse to not pay you. Slowly becoming a “pizza party” company.

Pros:For the most part you’re surrounded by great people that geniually want to make the world a better place and do their part in it. Cons:My thoughts on 1st Phorm vary. you learn a lot of tools that set you up in life and no one can take that away. they tell you to start work regardless of your expirence everyone starts entry level. Either as a card writer or in the warehouse. initially separating blue collar and white collar workers. Being a fast growing company in the interview they hook you telling you about where the company is going and all the endless possibilities you can create there. Through that they tell you that you’re going to start at a very low wage to put an emphasis on hardwork to build a career. I was put in the warehouse setting where the environment is very toxic created by our leadership. they are very unorganized constantly changing schedules that work best for their agendas. talk to people under them any kind of way, because they feel they can. And also don’t respect the time of their employees. They preach the aspect of 360 leadership but if you stick up for yourself they manipulate you and threaten your career. Most of the leadership have been with the company for a long time so a lot of their tactics come from a place from them feeling protected and unreplaceable. the emphasis behind a lot in the warehouse is they belive they’re getting us ready for the next phase of our careers and they were developing us. but in my time there i can’t recall too many peoples careers being built. seems more left they moved up to other positions. I can’t speak about the card writing side of entry level but it seems that individuals that started would be moving up 1-6 months from when they started. speaks a lot on the leadership and caring about employees. If you’re someone thinking about wanting to work at 1st phorm I would suggest to look at other opprtunities there outside of the warehouse and if they are limited be patient for something else in your search. I’d hate to see wasted talent being carried their by leadership who could care less. Advice to Management:They know what they should do.
I signed up 6 days ago and got familiar with the app and how it worked. I started the program on my own 4 days ago. The app is glitchy at best. I lost my daily checklist, it dropped my macros ********************************************************************************** I didnt reach out to my assigned coach either but 3 days ago I did with questions about these app issues. The next day I got what appeared to be a canned welcome video asking a bunch of questions (which I had already responded to in my weekly assessment). I replied anyway. That was 2 days ago and still nothing from this assigned coach. The price for the program is great and Ive actually liked the workouts (which also swap on my daily and I keep having to restart the one I want) but if you expect any sort of support, macro help etc it Id steer clear of this and go with something else.
Highest quality products on the market! The clothing and the supplements are by far the best products you can get. The customer service is also next level. When you email asking questions you get a response from a real person, that will give you real answers. Not pre generated scripts. #iam1stphorm
