I love living here! Everyone in the office is super helpful and very responsive. The complex is very well maintained on the grounds- it is always clean outside. My apartment is so spacious and I love that I have the freedom to decorate it how I like. Maintenance is really quick to respond. When you come for a tour ask for Nicole she’s the best!

I recently had a very frustrating experience with this apartment complex during the application process. Initially, the staff presented themselves as helpful and willing to assist me, which made me feel comfortable moving forward with applying. However, after submitting my application, the communication completely fell apart.
I sent multiple text messages requesting updates on my application status and received no response. There was no follow-up, no courtesy update, and no transparency throughout the process. Eventually, I was told that a decision had been made and that I was denied, but I was never formally notified.
When I questioned this, the employee claimed that an email had been sent to me. However, when I asked them to confirm the email address on file to ensure it was correct, the employee abruptly hung up the phone on me. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability was extremely disappointing.
Clear communication is the bare minimum when dealing with potential residents, and this experience showed a serious lack of respect for applicants’ time and effort. I would not recommend applying here unless you are prepared to deal with poor communication and unprofessional behavior.

All renters know that there is no perfect apartment complex. There are basic things that are gonna be bothersome that you really cannot do anything about. 1660’s biggest advantage is being right next-door to SCAD. My review is going to be specifically targeted SCAD students. I have lived in many apartments throughout my five decades in Atlanta - and this apartment complex is by far the best I’ve ever lived in. It is so ideal for SCAD students you can walk to school. There’s a parking deck if you have a car. There’s a back gate in the apartment complex that takes you directly to scad. You get all the advantages that you would get if you lived in the dorm without having to pay unnecessary required expenses. To me it feels like you have an apartment on campus. Also, if you have an emotional support animal just get a letter stating that’s what they are and there’s no charge. I went back-and-forth about whether or not my daughter should move in here and now I have no doubt it was the best thing she could’ve done.
So they’re not 100% perfect as any complex - The one thing that has bothered me the most recently is the fact that two of the gates are not working and it seems to be a consistent problem over and over. However, via a conversation I just had with them they’re bringing in a whole new company to put in a brand new gates.
One other thing, I will mention, it is not easy to turn into this complex, especially during rush-hour, and sometimes it’s just as difficult to get out. My daughter’s suggestion, and we’ve been doing it ever since she mentioned it, just go through the back gate and go out via SCAD at a traffic light. Coming in turn in the SCAD 1600 building entrance and just before the tunnel, make a right and come in the back gate to the apartments.
As a single mom with a SCAD student, I highly recommend this complex.

I am a scad student and love my experience here. I have met so many great people in the community and it feels so safe and walkable. My apartment is super nice and I am able to study it is so quiet. Nicole in the leasing office goes above and beyond to help me when I need it. Great customer service!

Don't recommend if you're looking for a peaceful apartment, the landlord doesn't do anything about noise complaints. Plus instead of responding to criticism they reply with the exact same automated response to every negative review.

I moved to 1660 Midtown apartments in June of 2025. I just signed early new lease for another year and that says a lot when it comes to living at this place.
This review is my personal opinion.
If you want location, convenience, amenities and price don't look any further. Everything is very close. Grocery stores, bars,restaurants,highways,midtown nightlife only 1-5 min away.
I live in 1 bedroom apartment, and its big.Plenty of room with everything you need.
There is a parking deck with security gate which is very convenient.
Moving in and out is very easy.
I lived here in the beginning od 2000s and decided to come back after so many years.
I personally LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
