Better than the original in every way and still very much inescapable. It's more comfortable, more durable, smoother and with fewer pinch points. I did remove one star for a few minor nitpicks that I hope they iterate on in their next version. While most edges have been smoothed over, there are still a few hard corners on the antipullout which can cause slight discomfort, and because while the locking mechanism works adequately I'd definitely prefer a lower profile approach rather than the large hump that it currently has. All in all, if you want something that's as secure as possible without requiring a piercing, this is pretty much the only real solution on the market.
