I have considered your suggestion in the past, and it's a good one, the problem is that fees change between time and circumstance, for example, a fee may be more if there's more travel and less if the show ends up next to another, but there are many other factors. We're always happy to quote - but the circumstances will often affect the quote, so we don't quote on the first pitch. Apart from anything else, if we quoted from the outset, we'd end up with fewer shows for the artist - which for our artists is often a priority - I'm sure I could write a book on the subject, but I hope that goes some way to answering your point.
