Everything was Perfect! Our 18-day trip to Spain arranged by Totally Spain was absolutely fantastic. They worked with us to develop an interesting itinerary and then they made all the arrangements--hotel reservations, rental car reservations, private pick ups, and guides. They also provided background information and maps on each of our stops, which was very useful. Everything was professionally done and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We really enjoyed the wonderful guides they arranged in Caceres, Merida, Seville, Cordoba, Toledo and Segovia. Their insights and historical background really added to our understanding of the history in these cities. This is our second trip to Spain with Totally Spain and I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Dear Anne,

What a pleasure to read your kind words—thank you so much! I’m delighted that you and Bill enjoyed your second adventure with us, and that everything flowed so smoothly from start to finish.

It was a real treat following your travels—especially when I spotted that wonderful photo you posted of the old city walls of Ávila. What an incredible shot! I’m so glad the itinerary, logistics, guides, and background materials all added to the experience and allowed you both to simply enjoy the journey.

We’d love to help plan another trip when the time is right—there’s still so much more to explore.

Warmest regards,
Ken Baldwin

Trip Summary:

Anne and Bill’s 18-day bespoke journey through central and southern Spain blended history, architecture, and local colour with seamless logistics and thoughtfully selected experiences. Beginning with a rental car, they explored Cáceres, Mérida, and Seville, where private guides brought each city's layered past to life—alongside memorable visits to Itálica, the Dolmen of La Pastora, and an intimate flamenco performance.

From Seville, the trip continued through Córdoba and Consuegra, before transitioning to train travel from Toledo to Madrid. After recharging in the capital, Anne and Bill hit the road once more to discover Chinchón, Segovia, Ávila, and Alcalá de Henares—each offering unique cultural highlights and architectural beauty.

With well-located boutique hotels, a mix of private and self-guided touring, and curated background materials for each stop, their itinerary balanced freedom with structure—creating a relaxed yet deeply enriching experience. A wonderful second chapter in their ongoing discovery of Spain, supported by the kind of behind-the-scenes planning that makes everything appear effortless.
