Beware getaroom.com is a Scam, do not book with them
This company is a scam, do not book with them! Their website presents as if you are booking directly with the hotel. Even though I clicked on refundable, when the purchase/reservation was made somehow the website switched the reservation to non refundable. Then they tacked on $130 in fees AFTER the purchase was made. This extra charge for "taxes and service fees" was not clear on the front end at all. When I called the company to cancel within 5 minutes of making the booking I was told there is nothing they can do and the purchase is non refundable, but they could give me a 10% discount for my trouble. One night in a hotel room for $400 in a small town is ridiculous. $130 in fees is outrageous. Everything about this exchange with the company and purchase is extremely disappointing and I feel completely scammed. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Avoid this company at all costs.
