Good up front but forget any follow-up 2 years ago I would have given Joe and his team a 5* review - no longer. He did 2 jobs for me, both in a very timely manner. The block work on a summer house base (in September 2023) and a subsequent drive (in December 2023) were great - as was the design for the drive landscaping; I was verbally given a 15 year guarantee for the work (though never received any paperwork to confirm this or detail of the work, despite many promises). Sadly, the brickwork on the boundary of a shrubbery proved sub-standard; sand and what mortar there was washing away, to the extent one of the pillars virtually collapsed. Also the stone chipping coverage was so thin, the weeds came through almost immediately. Since March 2024 Joe has been promising to come and rectify the work. After a year of chasing, I suggested I got someone else to do the work and asked JC to reimburse. This they agreed to in June 2025 - I am STILL waiting for the monies promised. The lesson is this may be an excellent and speedy block work company, but don't expect any documentation or follow-up fixes. I found them through Checkatrade; they no longer appear there - perhaps that is meaningful?
