Litfad – Real experience and warning to other buyers
Our company placed an order with Litfad over 5 months ago, and to this day we have not received either the product or the refund. The shipment was held and later destroyed by customs, because Litfad refused to properly declare the contents and value of the package, which is entirely the seller’s responsibility.
From the beginning, we have tried to resolve the matter amicably. We have sent more than 20 emails to Litfad’s customer service explaining the situation, providing all official customs documentation, and requesting the refund of the amount paid, since the order was not delivered for reasons completely beyond the buyer’s control.
However, Litfad consistently refuses to issue the refund, offering only to resend the order — an option we have rejected multiple times due to the problems already caused and the long delay.
The company avoids all responsibility and ignores its legal obligations under European Union e-commerce regulations, where the buyer has the right to a refund when the order is not delivered.
We have consulted this case with our lawyer specialized in international consumer law, and we are now proceeding with a formal legal complaint within the European Union for breach of contract and unfair commercial practices.
