Amazing Doctors - Crappy BUSINESS PRACTICE
My Doctor at DMC Is amazing with great care and empathy for their clients. With that said the Business side of DMC is disgustingly insensitive and cold. I was seeing someone through the mental health part of the center for loss of a child, this was all done via telehealth and virtual therapy visits. the reception stopped calling to collect copayment and a racked up a small bill of a little over 100 dollars. I did not know there was a balance and would have gladly paid it as soon as I knew. they blocked my account shut down my therapy sessions with zero notice and today 6 months later I go to make an appointment due to level 10 sciatica pain and I am met with the collections department as if I am a criminal, treated like garbage. I have used DMC for over 10 years and if it were not for the 3 people I trust with my health and life over there I WOULDNT BE GOING. there has to be some values and moral when running a MEDICAL OFFICE. treating someone who has been a patient for over a decade like crap over a 100 dollar bill that you never collected or sent notice too is morally wrong, all it would take is a call saying Hey we noticed you have a past due balance would you mind taking care of that. ESCPEICIALY when said patient is seen more that 5 times a month most months for 10 years. Your Billing department is UNETHICAL and RUDE! and from the looks of other reviews I see on here I am not the only one who has had this issue. what a shame, If my doctor ever leaves your practice...... so will I. YOUR BILLING SPECIALISTS AND RECEPTIONISTS MAKE ME SICK, and your company has no standard or values other than a push for money instead of wanting to make people healthy. DISGUSTING
