We’ve been coming to the salon with our son for some time, and I want to share some feedback about our experience last week.
Despite the salon’s lovely-sounding marketing slogan and the owner’s vision of creating a welcoming experience for children, we have unfortunately had the same issue several times in a row with one particular hairdresser. Whenever our son starts crying during the haircut, she rolls her eyes and visibly shows her frustration.
I completely understand that cutting a child’s hair can sometimes be challenging, especially when they become upset. However, a child crying during a haircut is hardly unusual, and I believe it should be met with patience, reassurance and understanding rather than visible annoyance.
I want to emphasize that we have had very positive experiences with the other hairdressers at the salon — they have all been kind, patient and genuinely lovely with our son. That is why this particular experience stands out so much.
I hope this feedback can be taken constructively, because the salon has a great concept, and a little more patience and empathy in these situations would make a big difference.
