Lastminute Keeps Routing Us Through the Middle East Conflict Despite Safer Alternatives
The customer service from Lastminute has been an absolute nightmare.
Our flight home has now been delayed by more than five days due to the conflict in the Middle East. Despite this, Lastminute keeps rebooking us on flights that go through the Middle East, where the situation is still unstable and flights are frequently cancelled.
There are many alternative routes available directly to Europe or via Asia, but they continue to place us on routes through the conflict area. As a result, the flights they book for us keep getting cancelled.
When we contact their customer service, the agents say they are unable to make any changes to the booking. Instead, they tell us that another department must handle it and that we need to wait for them to contact us. We have now been waiting for three days since the last update without hearing anything.
This situation has completely disrupted our trip and effectively ruined our vacation. On top of that, we are now also losing income because we are unable to work from here while we wait for them to resolve the situation.
