Find a Better Agency! Initially, we were very happy with Go Au Pair. They were responsive, helpful, and had a large database of au pairs to choose from. Once we signed up and paid the initial fees, the support dwindled. Our au pair rarely ever heard from her liaison and no cultural events or gatherings were ever scheduled for her to attend so that she could meet other au pairs. We were rarely checked in on and felt very in the dark about a lot of things. When our au pair decided she wanted to change her requirements for her stay and we could not meet them, she asked the agency for a rematch but the agency never informed us or offered to assist us in finding a new au pair. We were left scrambling to try and find immediate childcare. Despite her abrupt resignation which blindsided us, we were required to house her and provide her food and salary for two weeks. If she had wished to leave our home, they would have required us to pay for a hotel for her even though she was the one who chose to end the arrangement and we were getting along fine. Our au pair was dishonest and would tell us one thing and the agency another, yet the agency would not help mediate the situation or even speak to us on the phone. I tried calling several times and never received a call back. They avoided responding to us and made us feel as though we were inconveniencing them. They made us pay our au pair for vacation time and education expenses even though our au pair did not match with another family and planned to return to her home country. She never accrued any education expenses and yet we had to pay her for them or else the agency would not refund us our money. We have felt ignored by this agency and lost a lot of money on this endeavor. I would not recommend this agency to anyone looking for an au pair. Go with a larger company that can provide more support to both the families and the au pairs.

We are always disappointed when a placement doesn't workout however we feel we offered your family appropriate credits and refund based on your time in the program and your signed agreements.
