Cancer diagnosis forces flight cancellation. Only given partial refund. Cancer diagnosis forced me to cancel a flight. After speaking to one of their agents that told me I could apply under extenuating circumstances and should get most of my money back, I went through the effort of getting the supporting documents and submitting them, to then receive less than the minimum refund advertised on their website. Lost around £250 and felt like I have been taken advantage of. Their excuse was that was all the airline refunded them however I did not buy my ticket off the airline, but rather from last minute.com so they need to refund me.
