Kind and Smart I had two meetings with Ashley back in May 2025: a brief consultation on the phone and a meeting in person with my elderly mother, who was the potential client. I had done a lot of prior research and met with a couple of other lawyers and everything Ashley suggested lined up with them. However, she was the only one to mention a couple of key issues that ended up being very important for our situation and changing our priorities. (This is why you hire a lawyer.) We left agreeing that bankruptcy may not be the right way forward, depending on these other issues, but we learned enough to develop another plan that is working out. Ashley spent nearly an hour with us yet she refused any payment when I offered. We did not work with her through a bankruptcy, but we benefitted immensely from our meeting and really valued her generosity in a tough time. We are grateful to have crossed paths with her.
