Booking is no longer a trustful booking place

I am giving 2* instead of one, because for years I was ready to give 5. It was a good and reliable service.
This year, however, I booked a place which did not exist, in the instructions there was another address given, so I went there, it was dirty, with broken doors, a completely different place that the one shown on Booking. I called customer service and was told that I can book a different place and I won't be charged for this one.
In August I was shocked seeing a payment taken from my bank account by the hostel I did not stay in, I was even more shocked when I saw that they took the payment in July as well. After calling Booking I was asked to send a payment confirmation and I was told that they will refund the money but until today I was not. When I rang today they told me that the hostel was entitled to take money for my stay in June because I did not cancel in time!!! They didn't care that the place I booked did not exist and the one I was sent to did not meet any standards!!! I was also told that the money I was charged in August I have to dispute with my bank!!! BTW they also told me that they forwarded my card details to the third party (the hostel). If they wrote them down I am not sure how many more time I can be charged for the nights I never stayed at that place.
