Tooley Park BB Scriber
Over the years I’ve tried/used various devices for scribing, expensive compass, cheap kids grade school compass, homemade scribers and two of the top-rated plastic scribers. All were frustrating and not accurate. I recently read an article in the April 2026 issue of Fine Wood Working about the Tooley Park Scribers. After doing some research and talking with Philip at Tooley Park I purchased a Tooley Park BB scriber. This scriber is truly the Cadillac of scribers. I took it all apart and examined all the parts and they are very well machined and fit together perfectly. The flat and square machined bottom of the cradle makes all the difference in the world, no wobbling or tipping at all. When it comes to tools, “Cheap ain’t Good and Good ain’t Cheap”, this scriber is definitely worth the money. My new Tooley Park scriber proudly sits on the shelf next to my Veritas, Lie Nielsen, and Stanley Bailey planes.
