Deceptive Billing Practices And An Unauthorized Authorization I had a very disappointing experience with MAËLYS. I signed up for a “Try Before You Buy” offer that was advertised as only requiring a small shipping fee, but immediately after placing my order, a $126.85 authorization hold was placed on my account without clear disclosure. This pending charge affected my available balance, which was never properly explained upfront. On top of that, the checkout process automatically added extra products I did not intentionally select, increasing the total cost. When I contacted customer service, they refused to cancel the order or release the hold, telling me I had to wait and return the product instead. That is unacceptable. This feels like a deceptive billing practice, and I would strongly caution others to read everything carefully before purchasing. Please save yourself the time and a headache with this company by simply not doing a "try before you buy" and going directly to Ulta to purchase it in full if you really want to try it out. Due to their deceptive practices I will pass on ever trying to attempt to do business with them again. This is just another greedy company that appears to possibly have good products that is deceiving customers out of their money. If they keep it up hopefully they will get shut down. As I see they already have a pending Class Action Claim against them.
