Concern Regarding Roblox’s Reporting and Moderation System
I am writing to express serious concerns about the integrity and fairness of Roblox’s player reporting and moderation system. It appears that the current process allows individuals to instigate harassment and then weaponize the reporting feature against those who respond, resulting in one-sided disciplinary actions.
Recently, my son and his friends were targeted by other players after outperforming them in a game. These individuals directed derogatory comments toward my son and his group, yet when my son responded, he was the only one penalized. The instigators faced no consequences. This selective enforcement is unacceptable and undermines the credibility of Roblox’s moderation policies.
If Roblox is going to issue bans or take disciplinary action, it is imperative that the full context of the situation be reviewed, not just isolated remarks from the reported party. A fair system must consider who initiated the conflict and whether the response was provoked.
Given this experience, I am deeply disappointed and unwilling to invest further time or money into a platform that permits such imbalanced treatment. I urge Roblox to reevaluate its moderation protocols to ensure they promote genuine fairness and accountability.
