AVOID LITFAD AT ALL COST
I have purchased a cabinet from Litfad 06/07, received it only on 07/22 with 80% of parts damaged (scratched, dented, broken, etc) – and it was not damage caused by transportation – many parts were obviously damaged and painted on, to somewhat mask the damage. The cabinet came with no assembly manual, parts not marked nor numbered. Litfad took forever trying “to resolve” the issue by offering 5% refund if I keep the product the way it is or replacing broken parts. But in order to replace them the damaged parts, they requested to identify which ones where damaged – I sent around 450 photos (up-close damage and the whole part one by one), but they still couldn’t figure it out. They emailed me assembly manual for “something like my cabinet” and asked to circle the damaged parts, but since received parts were not numbered, I was not sure. They requested me to hire the assemble person to put the cabinet together and figure out which parts exactly were damaged. Since it would cost money and would take time, I refused. After few week back-and -forth communication they finally agreed to send the replacement on 08/13. I have received replacement 10/21 and it came again damaged, parts not marked, no clear instructions for particular cabinet. I still agreed to keep it, have the damaged parts cosmetically repaired with local companies and get 20% discount just to be done with all this frustrating situation. I have hired professional assembly company and after spending almost 2 hours they confirmed, that it is impossible to assemble it because there are a lot of missing parts. I have contacted Litfad and asked to take their item back and issue me full refund. After another few weeks I still do not have neither my money back nor the cabinet, as the best they can offer is 20% discount (meaning that I lose over $1,200 and can keep a pile of damaged random pile of wood pieces), or I should arrange the return of the item and cover all the shipping cost (which is totally their responsibility and I did nothing to cause the necessity to return the product should it came in good condition) or I should have purchased the insurance to get the refund (meaning that I was supposed to pay extra to make sure they do not send damaged and incomplete product!!!). They keep repeating that “they have no authority to issue any higher refund”. I am beyond frustrated, as I lost more than 5 months, almost $1,500 + extra $200 for 2 deliveries tips, also paying assembly company to try to put the cabinet together, not counting how much time and nerves i wasted dealing with Litfad. They also offered me to send another replacement or pick another item from their website, to lose another couple months probably just to get the same result. This is by far my worst experience and I am beyond disgusted with their business practice. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
