STAY AWAY STAY AWAY! As with all scams he started out friendly so I trusted him. I sent him $750 he said no work would commence until I paid $1500 for what he called "phase 1" so he admitted he did no work to that point. My mistake, I decided 1 day later I did not want to work with him, and notified him via phone to be respectful. I explained since we were within the 72 hour cooling off period I was exercising my legal right to cancel. Now the spin begins-His first response was my claim was invalid because we didn't have a contract but an engagement letter. Next he said this law didn't apply to CPAs. Seriously disappointed as yet another scammer. He then said he would keep my money as a credit for a return engagement. When I said "what if I don't want to come back"...SILENCE. Interesting strategy. He said he wasn't going to honor my request. I explained to him that he had not done any work as he stated "phase 1" would commence after $1500 was paid. Basically he wanted ne to pay him for nothing. It didn't have to go this way and that's unfortunate
