My new French Spaniel Pup I took delivery of my little Annie from Leslie on 6 May 2025. I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with my decision to get my French Spaniel from Leslie . I had the opportunity to hunt with Leslie and two of his dogs; Shazam and Becky. I wanted to see how the dogs hunted and how Leslie interacted with his dogs. And he wanted to see how I was with dogs. Shazam and Becky were great. They hunted enthusiastically and were very friendly when we broke for lunch. They were not stand offish because I was a stranger. Very personable. I have had Springers for 35 years but decided as I am getting older (in my 60’s) I wanted a slower pace, and a pointer was the dog to have. I decided on the French Spaniel after doing my research. I wanted a pointing dog that was friendly, non aggressive, kid friendly, a dog that was great in the field but also a house pet and a buddy. The French Spaniel fits those requirements to a T. Annie is a sweetheart. She is so much fun, so smart, so enthusiastic, and cute. She gets along so well with my 10 year old springer. Its very entertaining watching them. Annie is already working on her retrieving. She sleeps through the night. (8 hours) and has already made her first sight point on a Dove. Annie hasn’t chewed on the furniture or shoes or anything else. Maybe I’m just lucky but she is very well behaved but she does do her funny puppy behavior, being playful and loves to wrestle with her stepsister Mollie. Annie is healthy, bright and full of puppy life. When I picked Annie up , Leslie gave me her papers, some of her toys, her blanket and some food. Annie was clean, healthy and happy. You cannot go wrong purchasing a dog form Leslie. He loves his dogs and treats them the way I treat my own. I am so happy I made the decision to get Annie. I am looking forward dot this fall to take her hunting.
