Avoid and beware! I had a disappointing experience booking through Agoda due to what appears to be a bug in their booking flow. During the reservation process, I entered four travelers. However, when the booking transferred from Kayak to Agoda’s system, two of the travelers were dropped from the reservation without any clear indication that the number of guests had changed. As a result, the final reservation did not reflect what I had entered during the booking process. I noticed the issue shortly after completing the booking and contacted customer support within a few hours to report the problem. Despite explaining that the issue appeared to stem from their booking system and requesting a refund so that I could rebook correctly, Agoda declined to resolve the matter. My request was simply to cancel and refund the booking due to what appeared to be a system error that occurred during the booking process. Unfortunately, the response I received relied strictly on the cancellation policy without addressing the technical issue I reported. Travel booking platforms should ensure that their systems accurately reflect the selections customers make during the booking process. When errors occur, especially when they are reported immediately, I believe companies should work with customers to resolve the situation fairly. Based on this experience, I would advise others to carefully review the final reservation details before completing a booking and to be aware that resolving booking issues after the fact may be difficult.
