Avoid – poor quality control and no accountability I would strongly advise caution before purchasing from Kicks Crew. I purchased a pair of Nike running shoes which, after extremely minimal use (approximately 40km on a running track by a 14-year-old), began to fall apart. The issues included sole separation at the heel, midsole separation, and the upper peeling away — clearly not what you would expect from “new” running shoes. When I raised this, Kicks Crew refused to take responsibility. Their position is that once shoes have been worn, any issues are considered “wear and tear” — even at such a low level of use. They also rely heavily on a 14-day reporting window, which is completely unreasonable for identifying durability issues that only become apparent after use. They further argued that the shoes may have “naturally degraded” due to age (despite being sold as new), which raises serious concerns about product quality and storage before sale. Another major issue is lack of transparency. Kicks Crew present themselves as a retailer, but in reality they act as a sourcing platform. This is not made clear during the purchase process. The only time this becomes apparent is buried in the order confirmation email, where it states that after 30 minutes their “sourcing process begins” and cancellations may incur a fee. By the time I saw this (several hours later), it was already too late. In summary: Product failed after minimal use No meaningful aftercare or responsibility taken Policies used to avoid legitimate fault claims Lack of transparency about their business model Based on my experience, I would not purchase from Kicks Crew again.
