If I could give less than 1 star, I would.
Don’t be misled by the high ratings - many are paid. Please look beyond the surface.
Papilio Essendon is part of the Affinity Education Group, a for-profit organisation that acquires struggling centres. Unfortunately, their focus appears to be more on business growth than on quality care or safety.
There is little regard for proper training, safety standards or experienced leadership. Instead, they hire inexperienced educators and rotate staff across centres without transparency. One example is Joshua Brown, who worked at multiple Affinity centres before his arrest. Instead of action being taken, it felt like he was quietly moved around almost as if being promoted.
The group's leadership, including Wayne Meredith (GM), has shown zero accountability. When concerned parents sought answers, he was nowhere to be seen - hiding in an office rather than addressing the community. Not even an apology was offered.
Affinity centres, in our experience, operate behind a facade of compliance, while core issues around child safety and wellbeing are ignored or covered up.
Do your research. Your child’s safety is too important to trust to this group.
