Allergy negligence Made a reservation at sengs for my birthday meal with my wife this evening. She has an alergy to all nightshade peppers and we asked if the hot pot was still an option given this restriction to which we were told yes. On arrival we were seated and then told that our meals were changed to the bbq option because they couldnt guarantee the broths did not contain pepers... annoying given we verified in advance but better safe than sorry. About 1/2 of the bbq menu was pre-marinated so we couldnt order that given my wife's allergy. again fine we were warned and respect that. We also clarified with our waiter what constituted a nightshade pepper no bell peppers, no paprika, no chillis. so we ordered rice noodles, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, ribs, brisket, shrimp and pork belly all unmarrinated all safe right .... until half way through our meal my wife points out several bell pepper skins in the rice noodles litteraly the first dish we were served. We pointed this out to the wait staff to which they responded "yeah man she probably shouldnt eat that" a few minutes later She has a reaction sending her dashing to the restroom to throw up. Our waiter sees this and asks if shes OK to which i respond "no she has been poisoned by the bell peppers" the only response we received was "oh... can I get you anything else". Ultimately cutting our meal short my wife now sick for the night and possibly following days the food was decent but not worth having my wife poisoned for negligence. Will not be returning meal paid in full and not even an apology is fucking low.
