Job well Done!
Blake Day was my rep who came by and spoke with my wife about a roof inspection and left information if I wanted to follow up when I got home. The information explained that in April 2023 there was a hailstorm in this area, and I might have enough damage to get a new roof minus my deductible. I looked over the information and called Blake who was at another job site but said he would come by after finishing up. He inspected the roof, took some pictures, and said he thought it had enough hail damage that it would most likely warrant an insurance claim. He was not a pushy salesperson in his delivery of information. Two days later the insurance adjustor came out and inspected it and said it had 65% damage. One thing I learned from Blake is the shingles do not have to be broken to be damaged. I told him I had inspected the roof back in April after the hailstorm but did not see any broken shingles and thought all was good. Blake showed me where there were indentations in many of the shingles, which was new information to me. The claim was processed, and we picked out the shingles and Blake explained the process from the materials, underlayment, drip edge, type of shingles, cleanup process, covering all decks, porches, and shrubbery, to how they would honor the warranty. The installation date was scheduled, and the process was underway. The weather was so that they could begin on the January date. I was concerned at first if there would be an issue having the roof redone in January, but after speaking with different companies that do this year-round, they assured me it would be fine but would take a few more days for the shingles to seal due to the cold. The crew that did my roof was a crew of 8. They worked like a well oil machine removing the old shingles in less than two hours. The complete job would have been done in less time but there was a mix-up in the shingles being delivered. This was not Wood Worx's fault, this was a mistake with the vendor. The owner Blake took care of getting the shingles out on time and the crew was able to start replacing the shingles after lunch. The job was completed by evening along with checking for nails and blowing out the gutters and roof. They use a big push magnet to pick up any nails that go into the yard. Out of hundreds of nails, I only found two after the job was completed and that is pretty good considering all the nails involved. A couple of days later we had several inches of rain and I climbed into the attic to check around the chimney to see if there was any leaking. To my surprise, it was leaking in two places. I videotaped the places where water was coming in and sent this information and video to Blake Day and he immediately forwarded this to his boss. The head two crewmen that replaced the roof came back out the next morning and we hooked up a water hose and had one to spray from the top and the other one and I watched from inside the attic. After further inspection, the roof flashing was correctly installed, it was small holes in the chimney where the antenna had been mounted to the roof decades ago that were allowing water from the hard rain to enter. He said we can take care of this with some silicone. They repaired it and said if it should leak again, give up a call. Blake Day came by during the installation and after the completion to check and see if I was satisfied. Customer service is spot on, with courteous communication and quick turnaround time with receipts and all paperwork. She is good at what she does! These guys are good at what they do and are very friendly to work with. I would without hesitation recommend this company to anyone needing a roof installed or repaired.
