VERY DISAPPOINTING APPLICATION EXPERIENCE
I would give Real Property Management Pros ZERO stars if Google allowed it.
I submitted my rental application on 8/25 and completed every task that was required of me. Throughout the process, Joanna repeatedly stated that she had sent an email containing a link for employment verification. My employer had already submitted the employment verification, and there was never a link in the email that I received. I also felt like the income we reported was being questioned as though it was impossible for us to make the amount of money we stated.
I was told the application process could take approximately 2–5 days, but it took much longer. We were told we were the only applicants, yet after waiting, we were eventually told that the landlord chose someone else. There was no clear explanation given at that time.
We do not have evictions, our credit scores are in the mid-700s, and we have no negative rental history that we are aware of. Joanna then suggested that we apply for another property. We did exactly that on 8/31.
Once again, communication was extremely poor. When you reach out, it can take days or even weeks to get a response. I emailed yesterday asking for an update on our application, and today I was told that it was declined because of “rental history.”
What rental history?
If rental history was the reason for the denial, why wasn't that communicated from the beginning? Why allow us to complete another application, pay another application fee, complete all the required steps, and continue waiting if there was supposedly an issue with our rental history?
I also asked to speak with a manager and received no response.
This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and has wasted our time. The biggest issue for me is that while we were waiting days and weeks for answers, we could have been actively looking at and applying for other homes. Instead, we were left waiting with very little communication.
Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend applying with this company. I feel like the application process was poorly handled, communication was unacceptable, and there was no transparency about why we were denied.
I will never apply with Real Property Management Pros again. In my opinion, the experience was a waste of time and money. If you are looking for a rental, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about the screening process, application fees, and denial criteria BEFORE submitting an application.
