EXPENSIVE, AND NO RECEIPT GIVEN
To judge by a review from last year, I am not the only customer of this firm who has been unable to obtain a receipt for work done. I paid promptly, in fact on the day my guttering adjustment was carried out, and I have since sent a request for a receipt (which I was promised after the work was completed) by text and by letter. But I have received no response, nearly two months later. The firm says its work is guaranteed, but how can anyone prove that it carried out work in the first place if they have no receipt? A receipt would also show I paid VAT, of course. I can only hope that this ends up with HMRC. The guttering adjustment itself appears to have been effective, but it required far less work than I was led to believe when I was given a quote. I still had to pay the amount originally quoted, and I considered this expensive given the work involved. I always try to use local firms for anything to do with the house. But I don't think I'll be using this one again.
