C & R Concrete considers this 20' float line a "small mistake" C & R Concrete struggled with our exposed aggregate patio. The front of the step caved out because the framing was taken off too soon. So now the top front edge is wavy instead of straight. The worst part was the float job. I saw security camera history of 2 guys watching a 3rd make the float mistake and they all decided to do nothing to fix it even after my husband pointed out that it needed more work, they ignored him and sat in their truck for 2 hours in our driveway waiting for it to harden. We were told several times face to face and by text that they consider this 20' float line a "small mistake." They offered to cut down the ridge and then make other decorative cuts to match, or cut out that portion and pour a new section with a seam. Neither were what we wanted, so we negotiated a price for them to walk away from the job. We were about $1,000 apart in our negotiations and we were told if we don't pay what they were asking for they would have to put a lien on our house. They hadn't even sent us a bill yet. When asked to provide receipts to prove their material costs they texted they would consult with their attorney and get back to us. We felt threatened so we paid what they asked so we could move on with our lives without them in our future. There were more smaller issues but like I said we want to move on. They could have done a beautiful job, C & R Concrete does possess the skills needed, but for some reason things went bad on our patio. So buyer beware if things happen to go bad, they want you to compromise and they downplay their mistakes instead of owning them. Bad business in my opinion.
