Highly recommended mentor for leadership growth
I had the privilege of working alongside István within the management chapter of our Hungarian entity. Although I was not his direct report, we developed a strong, long-term relationship where he took on the role of my mentor, and I benefited greatly as his mentee. Over an extended period, we had regular discussions that fundamentally supported my work and professional development as a Senior Manager.
Coming from a deeply technical background - having worked my way up the developer ladder to become a Team Lead and Product Owner, focusing on HW-level optimization for FPGA, GPU, and DSP architectures - technical leadership was always my comfort zone. However, I faced new challenges in stakeholder management and handling complex team dynamics, especially when dealing with difficult situations or underperforming team members.
During our mentoring sessions, we discussed a wide variety of these situations. In the early stages of our process, István was an invaluable sounding board.
