Not a scalable user experience
The problem is, OF is a social media platform, but it's used as a basic sales platform as well. When creators become popular, sales are their primary focus, however OF is not set up as a proper sales platform it is designed with a social aspect in mind, a social aspect that simply doesnt scale up to demand. It also means that the sales features are so basic that a user can be easily scammed or at best mislead as to the value of something.
If you subscribe to a very popular creator, the chances are they will largely ignore you unless you are sending them money on a regular basis. This is because the system is set up to prioritise messages with tips or with purchases. If you have more money than sense, this site may give you some joy, but otherwise prepare to be treated like meaningless dirt in the long run.
