This guy overpromises and underdelivers. To say it nicely: his work was subpar. His favorite line of excuse is that you chose the whitest of the white color or the blackest of the black color which are very difficult to work with, a ridiculous answer from a person with a supposed 25 years of experience. I regret giving him the project to paint two bed rooms, kitchen cabinets. stairways railings, garage interior, garage door and the front door and surroundings. The bedrooms were bleeding the original colors even though he said he had completed priming and numerous rounds of coatings. This is where my regret had started. He did not put back the outlet covers or the blinds he had taken out before the painting. I had to remind him again and again to do so. You had to QC his work and micro manage, pointing out so many spots he missed. He took the cabinet doors to his home to paint. He was careless in the process of brining them back and installing. There were scratches and marks on some of the cabinet doors. After the cabinet doors were reinstalled, I had to point him to the numerous spots he missed. He needed constant reminders to paint the cabinet boxes again and again. There were just so many spots that bled the original color even after he said he painted them again and again. And he missed them repeatedly. I don't know if it was his utter disregard or sheer carelessness, he did not tape off anything at all even after numerous requests to be mindful. This resulted in paint drips and splatter on the kitchen counter tops and the floor. By the time he started work on the stair railings, I was really fed of of his messy work. There were just too many spots that he missed even after he said he had completed them and repainted all the spots that were pointed to him. It's unbelievable how someone would miss the exact same spot again and again. Again, his favorite excuse is that you chose the whitest of the white color or the blackest of the black color which are very difficult to work with. He was supposed to paint the ceiling in front of the front door. He said the ceiling did not need a paint and that he would deduct that portion from the total bill. He never did. His work on the railings was very messy with many of the baluster spindles covered in paint. I am stuck with needing to hire someone else just to clean up the mess he left behind. I was so much fed up of him that I just left a check under the door mat for him to pick up. I REGRET HIRING HIM.
