Do NOT trust them
In June 2025 I hired Marty/MJR Contruction/painting to complete painting, carpeting, and flooring services in my home. The contractor assured me that the work would be performed by professionals. He took $17,000 for the job upfront and requested and additional $11,000. He then delayed the project by 3.5 weeks, then had sketchy people in my home that appeared to be on drugs, smoking cigarettes at my house and damaging my property. The “work” that was completed, did more damage than good. Marty personally inspected the work and acknowledged the poor quality and said he “had no words” and was going to “make it right” he wanted to have his team come back in and redo it all, but couldn’t give us a time when they could even get back in to do the work. They gutted our bathroom and broke our vanity, put holes in our walls, halfway painted some rooms and left other rooms just primed/sanded, destroyed our trim and got paint on our hardwood floors, trim, and windows. Our outlets were plugged with paint and now need to be replaced. There are gaps all around our flooring. Our carpet had bubbles, pulls, and was missing tack strips, it was cut in pieces, not fitted properly or tucked. Despite multiple requests, even after Marty, the owner himself, apologized and agreed it was not acceptable, I have not been refunded any portion of the $17,000 payment. I now have to pursue legal action. Do not hire these people, they will steal your money and leave your property in shambles.
