A Deeply Disappointing and Costly Experience with JustFly.com – A Word of Caution
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience with JustFly.com in hopes of warning others before they fall into a similar trap.
Due to an unexpected trip to Europe, I had to purchase a last-minute airline ticket and found a fare through JustFly.com for $1,910. While the price was steep, I accepted it given the urgency of my travel. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse once I needed to modify my return flight.
An emergency required me to extend my stay by one week. According to JustFly’s website, the stated fee for changing a flight was $200. However, when I attempted to make this change by phone, I was met with an automated voice assistant—no live representative in sight. The automated agent quoted me an additional $900 for the change. Despite the excessive fee, I agreed and requested a return flight for Sunday, June 22nd.
To my dismay, the automated agent made an error and booked me for Monday, June 23rd instead. When I tried to resolve the issue, I found it nearly impossible to speak to a real human being. I was redirected back to the same automated assistant—named “Mia”—who simply repeated pre-scripted responses, insisted the mistake was not theirs, and told me that if I wanted to change my flight to Sunday, it would cost another $900. No escalation, no resolution, no accountability.
At this point, the total cost of my return flight was approaching $4,000—an outrageous and unjustifiable amount. It’s clear to me that JustFly.com operates under a deceptive model, hiding behind automated systems to avoid responsibility while squeezing customers for every last dollar.
This is not just poor customer service—it borders on predatory behavior.
There is no transparency. There is no support. And once they have your money, there is no way to reach a real person who will help you.
I strongly urge others: do not use JustFly.com. What appears to be a legitimate travel site quickly devolves into an automated maze designed to frustrate and take advantage of travelers, especially in urgent or vulnerable situations.
You deserve better—and you won’t find it here.
