My worst online shopping experience!
I noticed an ad, for $10 everyday skirts on 10/16. You can never have too many pencil skirts, so l ordered five on 10/17. The ad mentioned there were 1500 available and ready for immediate shipment!
I received a confirmation email stating an email will be sent once shipped. Great!!
Did I expect 'Amazon prime' like delivery? Absolutely not, I understand this is a small business.
However, after 10 days, I hadn't heard anything, so l followed up requesting a status update on the app on 10/27. I got a fast response via email, of 'this order ships this week! As of 11/3, I still hadn't received any shipping notification, so l emailed back, asking for confirmation that skirts were shipped.
This time, another fast response with 'Some colors are on backorder but we'll ship what we can tomorrow. I was a little confused with this response as just a week prior the skirts were due to ship. However, I left it be.
Then on 11/7, I emailed again just to ask which items would ship and if there was a tracking number.
Again, I received a quick response only stating 'All except black & brown!
This time, I couldn't just leave it be.. I would expect a more customer friendly response addressing the confirmation and whether or not there was a tracking number. So I replied, asking again for a tracking number.
At this point, it had been 21 days. I don't own a clothing company, but I would think if items are in stock and available for immediate shipment, 5 skirts would have been shipped well before 21 days after the order was placed.
I contacted my CC company to dispute the charge as items weren't received as expected. They immediately honored the request and refunded me my money.
The next day is when things got interesting..
I woke up to an email with basically a demand to cancel the dispute or never order from them again.
My reply consisted of the above mentioned timeline as to the reason for the dispute.
Part of their next replies were, 'You missed out. Your loss not ours!, WOW., Unbelievable!' Also, each email contains their default signature, "Thank you for being the best part of JM, Customer Care Team ❤️”
They proceed to send several emails telling me the bank has instructed them to send them what they have and refund me the rest. They are sure to let me know that I'm not winning this.
I FINALLY received a shipping notification on 11/8! Now mind you, as of today.. 11/10, the status hasn't updated.
Nor have they let me know what they are refunding me..
They also let me know that I was dishonest for disputing the charge. While l'm not sure how I am dishonest for following up several times on what THEY said they were doing. I am pretty sure that dishonesty would be making a social media post that skirts are available for immediate shipment but yet, they weren't?!
Needless to say, I will absolutely never purchase another item from this company again.
