I had a re-treatment of a root canal on a tooth that I originally had a root canal on in 2021. Dr. Kim was my attending endodontist/specialist. She was quite thorough with her explanation that since the tooth had been giving me lots of pain, but at times the pain shifted into different areas of my mouth, as well as to my head, the root canal she was going to perform, might not “fix” everything, but she was hopeful that it would resolve any problems that I was currently experiencing. Follow-up with Dr. Kim would be necessary in six months, as well as regular visits to my dentist, to confirm that all went well. Dr. Kim did her best to make sure that I was comfortable during the procedure, as multiple times, she asked me if I was ok, to which my answer was always “yes.” It makes a positive difference when my physical comfort is paramount. From start to finish, the root canal took about 30-40 minutes. Assisting with the treatment was the dental hygienist, Shari, who was kind, soft-spoken, very attentive, professional, and possessed a gentle temperament - all qualities that I appreciate and value - she took great care of me! The front desk staff consisting of Emily, Carla and Bry (pronounced Bree) was top notch, with everyone having a great attitude, strong client service exhibited, and smiles all around (it especially makes a difference to hear a smile over the phone). Admittedly, there was a lot of back & forth phone calling with regard to understanding the financing and payment options, some of which I found confusing, until it was explained to me on more than one occasion by multiple people, and ultimately it became clear to me, which was gratifying. Overall, I was grateful & thankful for the treatment that I received from PROSTHO ENDO in Rockville. In the end, it all worked out great!😊 👍🏽
