Improved engagement through smart strategy
We landed a piece of industry press last year, a fairly well known publication in our niche picked up something one of our team members had written, and the referral traffic from that one article was bigger than anything we'd seen from social in months. What TrueShield pointed out though was that almost none of that traffic was converting because the page people landed on from that link was basically a dead end, no clear next step, no connection to anything else on the site. They rebuilt the flow from that page outward, connected it to relevant service pages, added a lead magnet that made sense for people at that stage, and turned what used to be a traffic spike that went nowhere into something that actually stayed on the site and moved through it. We started thinking differently about press coverage after that, less about the mention itself and more about where people land when they click through.
