Air France - Never Again
I boarded their business class flight AF871 from Cape Town to Paris on the 3 January 2025. Before takeoff I was asked for my meal option. Between takeoff and meal service, I fell asleep. Upon waking, I asked the male cabin whether I could now have my meal. I was told meal service is in the first 25 minutes and my meal would no longer be available, that only the cold option would be. At no time at the start of the flight was the cabin told of this process, at no time did anyone try to wake me, to inform me that I would no longer be able to have a hot meal service on an 11 hour flight, other than a cold option. The second female cabin attendant was even more rude than the first, bringing my food option thrown together on the tray. It is a disgrace that anybody would choose to be in a front facing service role and act this way with a business class passenger, whose only crime was falling asleep (now an unwarranted nuisance). It’s terrible that your food is no longer available on a flight you’ve paid thousands of dollars for, but it’s inexcusable for the staff to act in this manner ever.
