Good art - Awful service
I have just finished my final sitting and although the work is excellent the experience of the tattoo itself was really frustrating on all 3 occasions. My first sitting was 4 hours, I understand that it takes time to draw up but I sent my design through weeks before my appointment and there was no effort to even put together a rough idea that we could tweak if needed, I think the first time he looked at it was when I turned up for the appointment. Total tattooing time was only 1hr and 45 minutes after breaks.
I decided to do a full day sitting for my next one to get a lot done, again my appointment was at 11am.
When I got to the appointment I had to resend all of the artwork as my tattooist had forgotten what he was doing, again I understand that he sees many people but he had not saved any files or references… it made it seem that he didn’t actually care about the work he was doing and was not prepared in the slightest, as mentioned my appointment started at 11am, he did not start tattooing until 12.30pm, he then would tattoo for 40-45 minutes and have a break for 15 minutes. On one occasion he left the room and did not return for 30 minutes. The total time of actual tattooing for a 6 hour appointment was a little over 3 hours.
On my final sitting, again my appointment was at 11am I once again had to send the artwork through. He started tattooing at 12.40pm. Had a 15 minute break every 45 minutes, with at one point another person coming in and waiting for him to finish so they could go for a break. and the final break was again over 25 minutes. Again for this 6 hour appointment on 3.5 hours was actually spent tattooing.
I understand that tattooing takes a lot of concentration and can be tiring but as a customer paying £120 per hour I feel that breaks should be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes so that it doesn’t feel like I am paying for my tattooist to have a coffee with a friend. It seemed like the breaks got longer towards the end so that he could drag it out until 5pm so that he got extra money.
I have had many tattoos with another tattooist and I can honestly say this experience was not pleasant and extremely unprofessional.
As a customer and a person who has experience in a tattoo parlour I would not recommend this company as it seems there is very little care about the client.
Again this is not a reflection on the work. The work is excellent. The customer service and the dragging out sessions to get as much money as possible is appalling.
