Recovered and Improved After Migration
We went through a rebrand about two years ago, new name, new logo, new positioning, the whole thing. What nobody on our team fully thought through was what that meant for the website from an SEO standpoint, all the authority we'd built up under the old name, the backlinks, the rankings, the indexed pages. We migrated the site ourselves and lost a significant chunk of organic traffic in the process, not because the rebrand was wrong but because the technical side of the migration wasn't handled properly. TrueShield came in after the fact to clean it up, fixed the redirect structure, recovered what could be recovered, and rebuilt what couldn't. It took about eight months to get back to where we were before, which was frustrating, but we came out the other side with a much cleaner setup than we started with. That experience changed how seriously we take the technical stuff now.
