Never Again, Worst Experience Ever
I am writing this review so no one else is subjected to the same experience I was.
Michael Gleeson, was the individual who personally lured us into engaging with Repute Law. He made clear and unequivocal representations that Repute could assist us in a number of specific ways, and those assurances were a decisive factor in our decision to retain your services in the first place. When the same matters were subsequently raised with Lisa Green, we were informed that what Micheal Gleeson had promised was “not possible” and could not, in fact, be done by Repute at all.
Repute did not complete all the work for which the funds were deposited for. The fixed fee was constantly changed and was questioned via phone calls, and advised in writing on 20th November that no further trust funds were required until after a hearing date. However, Repute demonstrated a complete lack of communication and comprehension, instead withdrawing the day before the mention date. After consulting independent legal practitioners as to whether such conduct is ethical, I have been unequivocally advised that this conduct never occurs within competent or ethical legal practices.
Due to constant staff turnover, there was no continuity in handling my matter. No one appeared to know what was happening, communication was severely lacking, and responsibility was repeatedly shifted onto me despite these failures being entirely internal.
As for Lisa Green, the appeal was only lodged after I personally had to call the firm and make additional payments despite her repeated assurances that she would handle this and keep me updated. At no point did she mention that further fees were required beforehand. I was repeatedly left to chase the firm, bearing responsibility for failures that were entirely internal. From the very first day, after paying the initial funds, I had no contact from the firm until I reached out myself. Then, when it was clearly agreed and relied upon that I would pay the remaining fees after the hearing date was set, Repute Law unilaterally and recklessly withdrew representation at such short notice.
Lisa Green only reviewed the opposing parties brief but for the client she’s actually representing she did not even read a single word, making false promises that she would be closer to the date. She would routinely cut me off during discussions, rushed conversations, and conveyed both expressly and implicitly that my case was of little importance. This is not just poor communication; it is deliberate disregard for a client’s interests, incompetence and grossly unprofessional conduct.
Not only did Repute’s conduct fell below the standard reasonably expected of a competent legal practice, but Repute abandoned me at a critical stage of the proceedings after clear agreements were made and relied upon, clearly placing us in a position of extreme vulnerability and leaving us with no meaningful choice.
This conduct caused significant stress, suffering, and prejudice. If you want to feel the same way, by all means go to Repute Law.
