Terrible Experience with Traveluro
We had a terrible experience booking a hotel through Traveluro using Kayak. We specifically booked a room with “1 king bed and 1 double bed”, which configuration was the most important factor in selecting our room. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told no such configuration exists and we were given two small single beds instead. That was radically different than what we had booked. We emailed and called Traveluro and were told we could upgrade our room at the hotel to one with two bigger beds, and Traveluro suggested (but did not promise) to reimburse us for the upgrade, which was a substantial fee of nearly twice the price of our initial room. When I submitted to Traveluro a prospective invoice from the hotel for the upgrade, and requested Traveluro’s confirmation that they would reimburse the full amount of the upgrade, Traveluro stopped communicating with us despite my several attempts. This seriously undermined our trip and makes me never want to use Kayak again. Kayak should consider this experience as it relates to permitting Traveluro to work with Kayak. I would never book through Traveluro again.
